{ The Ivory & White Experience }

  • Finding Your Gown

Our promise at Ivory & White is to offer the best in service and selection for every bride. Buying a wedding gown is such a special shopping experience for any girl and we will ensure that it is.

Our bridal consultants work intimately with each bride to fulfill her unique style and preferences. Ivory and White is specialty oriented, we know our brides and their families by name and pamper them throughout the entire process. We look forward to sharing the next few months with you and here are a few things you need to know as you begin your gown search.

    Scheduling Your Appointment

Ivory and White strives to provide the most meaningful and personal bridal experience. To ensure this high level of service, we request appointments to guarantee that every bride has an individual private appointment with one of our experienced consultants.

Once you have selected the lucky few, whose opinions you value the most, please call to schedule your appointment to make sure that the time and date that works best for you is available. Our gowns are hand selected and are of the highest quality; prices start around $2500.

    Day of Appointment

Congratulations! Your day to try on some of the most luxurious gowns is finally here! Once you step foot into the Ivory and White Bridal Boutique you will be met by one of our knowledgeable bridal consultants who will work with you from the time you enter the store to your final fitting.

After your initial consultation to discuss your personal style and budget, our stylist will select gowns from our extensive collection for you to try on. Your family and friends can sit comfortably in our spacious fitting rooms or showroom and watch you try on gowns while sipping champagne.

Ivory & White offers an assortment of strapless bras and half silk slips for you to wear during your appointment. Please keep in mind that one of our stylists will be in the room with you at all times. Your family has the option of joining you and your stylist in the fitting room as well.

    Ordering

It is ideal to order your gown approximately 8 months prior to your wedding date to allow ample time for alterations and a bridal portrait if you choose to have one. If your wedding date is less than 8 months away, do not worry. Depending on what dress you have chosen you may or may not need to place a rush order. Your consultant will inform you of these details.

  • It is also a good idea to know your gown budget as you may find your gown at your first appointment! It becomes more overwhelming and confusing to continue looking, so once you find it, go for it! When you select your perfect wedding dress, your consultant will take your measurements and help you select the correct size to order. You may also choose to order extra beading, lace, ribbon, buttons or other items for your dress at an additional cost that will ensure that your dress is one of a kind.

To order your gown, a 50% deposit is required and the remainder of the balance is due once your dress comes in. You may also request a swatch of your dress from the designer to help plan the rest of your special day. Please let your bridal consultant know if you are interested in receiving a swatch of your gown.

    Gown Arrival

Once your gown arrives you will be contacted and an appointment will be made for you to come see your gown and try it on! Please remember that your final balance is due at this time. This is an exciting time and you are another step closer to your wedding day. You may also select a veil or hair accessories if you have not already done so.

    Alterations

All alterations, fittings and appointments are handled at Ivory & White. Alterations are a separate cost from your wedding gown and payment will be made payable to your alterations specialist. Alterations typically run around $400 depending on what needs to be done to your dress. If you are adding straps, sleeves or making any significant changes to your gown, alterations will be more. Our alterations department will work with you to customize and fit your dress to your body. They will also help create your bustle, hem your dress and any other specifications that you wish.

It is important to have your shoes and undergarments selected when you come to your first fitting to ensure that the dress is altered correctly. After the first fitting you will most likely need to come back for one or two more fittings to achieve the perfect fit. If you have a bridal portrait scheduled, please let your alteration specialist and your consultant know because your alterations must be completed before your portrait.

    Wedding Preparations

Ivory and White will happily store your wedding gown until your wedding day or portrait day. Please schedule a time in advance to pick up your dress and accessories so that we can make sure your gown is steamed and ready to go.
